You might have noticed I went on an unplanned hiatus. Yes, I sometimes forget that I have a blog to write. Life is just so ful of other joys. Besides, I'm busy writing short stories that get published in amazing books that you should all go buy right this sec! And articles on food and language.
I don't deserve your forgiveness yet, you say? How about I offer a recipe for mint chip ice cream? Come on, everyone loves a good mint chip ice cream. No? Yes!
250 ml milk
250 ml heavy cream
40 g sugar
a bunch of mint leaves
50 g chocolate chips
Add sugar and mint leaves into the milk and heat until the sugar dissolves. Don't boil it. You can add whole leaves and then remove them when the milk cools or you can chop them and leave them in the ice cream (this is what I do). Whip the cream. Add the cooled milk and the chocolate chips. Pour the mixture in to the ice cream maker. You'll get a chocolaty and fresh delight! Nom nom.
